Post-doctor Wang Ying’s paper was Accepted by ACC 19

On Dce. 18th 2018, post-doctor Wang Ying, from Web and Software Technology R&D Center, whose paper The Control Rate for Patients with Essential Hypertension in Chinese Adults: A Real Word Study Based on the Electronic Health Records of 544,892 Community Residents was accepted by American College of Cardiology 2019 (ACC 19); researcher Xing Chunxiao is Wang’s cooperative supervisor. ACC is the world’s top professional and technical society in heart diseases, and its annual meeting is one of the world’s top three conferences (ACC, AHA, ESC) in cardiovascular research.

The paper is based on the data platform of standard management of chronic diseases from institute for Network Sciences and Cyberspace, Tsinghua University and HUABASE data platform from Research Institute of Information Technology, Tsinghua University. Based on the electronic health records of 540,000 residents in some city from Jan. 1, 2016 to Dec. 31, 2017, the paper found the covariant relationship in the joint effects of age, body mass index (BMI) and blood pressure control in patients with essential hypertension. The results showed that in addition to rational use of drugs, controlling BMI at the ideal level was helpful to the control of blood pressure in community hypertensive patients. Project 863 The Construction and Application of Big Data Platform for Cardiovascular Diseases undertaken by WEB center provided data and technical basis for this paper.

     Wang Ying worked at Anzhen Hospital, affiliated to Beijing Capital Medical University for 8 years and was engaged in clinical research, mainly in cohort study of cardiovascular disease and the diagnose, treatment and prognosis of cardiovascular disease based on medical big data. Now she is the youth editor of Chinese Journal of Hypertension, the deputy director of editorial department of Chinese Journal of Misdiagnostics, and the co-associate editor of Special Issue of Biomedical and Social Applications, Control and Intelligent Systems.
